Busy, Busy

Our little man has been quite busy since the holidays. He has changed so much in the past few weeks. It seems he matures when we travel. He is a man of the world, I tell you. He has been attempting to clap, wave, and point at things. Actually, his "point" is more of a Hitler salute with a grunt, but he's working on it. He has learned to flush the toilet- over and over and over. He loves to press buttons. Any button will do, as long as it causes a noise of some sort. He is getting very proficient at turning on and off the TV in the middle of Chris' football games. Gayle gave him a John Deere Radio for Christmas that plays music when you press a button. Josh enjoys pressing the button over and over. So, the entire way home from Jacksonville, this is what I heard....

" Old McDon- Old McDon-Old McDon-Old McDon-Old McDon......" (you get the point). This continued until he finally fell asleep and I was able to hear the rest of Old McDonald's story. It was very satisfying to hear the end.

He continues to practice walking. He is walking more and more, but is still a crawling boy for the most part. He sees what he wants, assesses an estimated distance of travel and determines mode of transport- knees or feet. In Houston he took 15 steps across the room and we were lucky enough to catch it on video. Above is a picture of Josh in a very cool outfit. We are STILL knee-deep in our kitchen remodel. Josh took advantage of playing in the breakfast bar (without granite counter top) the other night. He enjoyed beating on it like a drum and playing peek-a-boo with Chris by opening and closing the cabinet doors. We are having lots of fun watching him discover new things and finding ways to make a toy out of everything. We are so blessed! Happy New Year everyone!
