The Fearsome Foursome

Josh and his best buds. The four of them are the whole package. They are only weeks apart, but their personalities cover the full spectrum of color and humor.

My predictions for their High School Senior Yearbook:

John G. : Class Favorite

John M. : Most likely to work for ESPN

Luke : Class President

Josh: Class Entertainer

A few weeks ago, all the moms took the boys to see a showing of How to Become a Pirate at the local Children's Theater. The boys had a blast together, as they always do. John Squared and Luke were troopers during the show and watched in amazement for 1.5 hours. Josh, on the other hand, watched for about 12 minutes before the wiggles began. It was the longest 1.5 hours of my life, but he had fun. He is still talking about the pirates and the pirate ship.

After the Pirate Show, we headed to Luke's house for game night. Sweet Ava was the lucky gal who got to join the boys for the evening. Her and Katie usually share all the boy's attention, but Katie couldn't make it. Luke was quite happy about Ava's presence, as you can see.

"How you doin'?"

We had a plan.

1.) Feed the kids

2.) Stick them in bed.

3.) Turn on a movie.

4.) Snacks and milk.

5.) Close the door.

6.) No news was good news.

This bought us adults a round or two of Taboo and a few drinks before the simultaneous melt-down of all 5 kids at approximately 9:25 pm.

We all made a quick get away.

This is our life.

"Brothers don't shake hands, brothers gotta hug!"

All four boys have matching scooters. We go to the park and let them "scooterize" as Josh calls it, until they can barely walk. On this particular beautiful day, John G. couldn't make it, but John M, Luke, and Josh had a great time chasing each other on their scooters. The progression of pictures below will give you an idea of what park-time is like with these wild boys.

During one of our weekly play dates, I set up Beatles Rock Band for the boys to play. They didn't know what to think at first, but kept asking for song after song. A few days later, their teacher told us at pick-up that all the boys were found in the corner playing air guitar and singing "Yellow Submarine." Hilarious!

I would personally like to send a shout out to the genius who provided us the Rock Band "no fail" mode, I love it! Being an experienced Beatles Rock Band player, Josh was quick to take the lead vocalist role. Here is a video for you to enjoy. You may have to listen closely.
