It. Is. Here.
It. Is. Finally. Here.

And somebody in this house is super excited.

I don't know where he gets this Christmas cheer from.
What odd behavior!
We went tree shopping the other day, and Josh headed straight towards this one.
"Wow! It's GIANT!!! Let's get this one."
He was really excited to pick a tree.
So were we ...

... until we saw the price tags.
This was for a 6 foot tree. Seriously, y'all????
$425 for what is, essentially... a slowly dying tree.
Really????
She's a beauty!
Once home, we unloaded the attic and our house quickly transformed from a tidy home welcoming fall and pumpkins into a chaotic mess of red and green glitter. However, in my professional Christmas decorating opinion, you must make a mess to create Christmas cheer.

Josh being reunited with his Thomas the Train ornament.
Could there possibly be a better picture of pure Christmas delight?

This year, Josh was a super helper while decorating the tree. I say that every year, but until now, I was being facetious. He really did a great job trimming the lower 1/3 of our Christmas tree.
He was in charge of all the shatterproof ornaments and opted to cluster them all together in one spot. Bold decorating choice, but it turned out great and the bottom of our tree is my favorite part this year.
Other decorating pictures...
"Elf the Josh" (Josh came up with this highly original and somewhat backwards name for his elf) was welcomed with open arms by "Josh the Josh " when we got home from our Thanksgiving trip. "Elf the Josh" has already served us quite nicely in the bribery department and it's only Dec. 3rd! Fun and festive ornaments on our kitchen chandelier. Thanks to my decorating-Goddess friend, Tricia, for the inspiration.
The Mantle.
I decided to go with real garland this year.
It smells wonderful and is naturally beautiful laying across the mantle.
The Dickens's Village in up in full force this year.
It's officially Christmas.
We are super excited to share all our holiday adventures with you!

What do you do with a general when he stops being a general? I LOVE YOUR CHRISTMAS cheer! Especially Josh the Josh's. xoxo
Woman, I don't hold a candle to your decorating prowess, but thanks for the kind words. :) Your house looks amazing! Y'all look like you were having so much fun decorating it makes me wonder if it was Christmas cheer or a little Irish whiskey or Irish creme to thank, perhaps?
