What you doing?

This week we've been doing a little bit of this and a little bit of that, which has left our week quite busy! Today, while Josh was at school I ran 11 errands! It is amazing how many stops you can make when you don't have to lug a 31.5 pound twisting toddler in and out of a car seat. After school, I started some laundry and Josh walked up to me with an inquisitive face and said, "What Mommy doing?" It was a little cute and made me smile amongst the piles of dirty clothes.

One of my million errands today included buying Josh some new stuff for the warmer weather. Josh needed some good tennis shoes for all the running and jumping in the park. As soon as I put them on his feet, he took off running. He knew just what to do with them.

Chris is working on another Habitat house this year for the Bar Association. He is the co-chair this year, so he has a lot of responsibility. The house is coming along beautifully! This is only the third week and look how much they have done! Unfortunately, Mother Nature has been very unkind to them by giving us beautiful weather during the week and cold and windy conditions every weekend. But, that doesn't stop them from working hard!
We had to say bye-bye to Aunt Pickles on Monday morning. BooHoo. While Nicole was here, we started compiling a list of Josh's funniest sayings. Here are a few of Nicole (and my) favorites....
1. Josh saying good-bye... "Ok, Bye!" " See you soon!" (Waving, as he speeds off on his fire engine).
2. Josh counting... "2, 3, 4, 6, 8, NINED, 10 !!!!!!!!!"
3. Josh's A,B,C's... "A,B,C,H,I,J,LMNO, NINED, X, Z!!!!!
4. Josh asking for ice cream... "Ice Cream, yeah?" "Ice, Cream, yeah?"
5. Josh pointing at something cool... "Check it OUT!!!"
6. Josh asking for "this one, please"... "these gums, peas?"
7. Josh surprised at something... "Oh my goodness!"
8. Josh's name for the zookeeper in "Goodnight Gorilla"... " Zoo Peeker!"
9. Josh singing Happy Birthday (to himself, still- 3 months later)... "Happy Bird Day two."
10. Josh asking for soup for dinner... "car soups, car soups, car soups, car soups, car soups, car soups, car soups, car soups, car soups, car soups, car soups,... you get the point."

My other babies... the dogs. Murphy and Jackson have been so patient with Josh lately. He has been pulling their tails, jumping on their backs, tempting them with human food, and constantly yelling, " Murphy, Jackson- go away! No! You go away!!" I wonder where he hears all that? Humm?

Finally, in other news, potty training is going really well....
...for "Baby," the stuffed bear, that is.
Josh, not so much.
Not time yet.
That about sums up the potty training topic.
