Today Josh made it through school without a problem which meant a delightful day for me. I got a bunch of errands run in no time flat. When we got home from school this afternoon Josh went straight for his "Mini ABC" book that his Aunt Pickles made him for his birthday. It is filled with pictures of Josh and all the people who love him. Josh loves to look at pictures of himself. His favorite page is "X" is for "extra cute." It has several cute pictures of Josh arranged in an arch. He stares and giggles at himself. Then, I sing him the song entitled, " You're so vain."
Although Josh loves to look at the pictures,he also enjoys climbing and crawling all over the fun laminated pages.
This is how I found Josh today in his playroom......
Not exactly the idea of the toy. This will be fun until he falls over and bonks his head.
Then, out comes the ice pack.
After an outstanding dismount, Josh decided his sit and ride toy was much more fun if ridden backwards. Why? Well, because he can bounce up and down and push the buttons with his bottom. I am glad to see he is discovering how to use his body parts in different ways. ALL his body parts.
Such a boy.
My poor black Lab (Jackson) has to have surgery on Thursday to remove a mass the vet found last week. They will biopsy it and we will proceed from there. It is in an awkward and dangerous location and he will most likely have to wear a E-collar. If you will recall, he does not do well with those. It is so sad. Besides knocking a few people down from wagging his powerful whip-like tail, he hasn't done anything to anyone. Please pray for Jackson and a speedy recovery and no lingering illness/disease. Thanks.
On a brighter note, my friend, Michelle has a great idea posted on her blog right now. She is a talented photographer and is asking others to send in a picture of what brings them joy. She will then be giving a prize away... even better! You should read it and think about what brings you the most joy everyday. Her link is under the blog section to the left of the screen.
