What summer looks like...

Roller coasters with Daddy.
No fear.
The tallest Roller coaster in Texas and didn't even blink.

There was a lot of brother/sister time this summer.
This was both a good and bad (not to mention loud)
change to our norm. Emily LOVES playing with Josh and Josh loves her. That is... until Josh starts making monster faces at Emily and she starts destroying his Lego creations.

Serving at Stewpot with buddies.

Surpassed the summer goal of making 150 Summer Survival Kits by
300.
That' s right, 450 kits for the homeless people in Dallas.

I learned so much about Josh and his giant heart for others
during this summer serving at the Stewpot. He really loved
being there and helping the clients at Stewpot.

Lots of stinky shoes to donate to the Dallas homeless!
(I will keep the two cute kids).

I love this video of Josh helping Emily read books before bedtime.
She loves finding the hidden banana on each page of Goodnight Gorilla. She also loves to find the hidden mouse on each page in Goodnight Moon. She will look and look all over the page and say,
"Heeeey mouse? Heeey Mouse?"
and when she finds it, she gets so excited.
Sweet memories. I know those words will change so quickly,
I love getting these moments on video.

Playing with friends on a hot summer afternoon.

Enjoying ice cream treats... just because.

Grocery shopping with two in tow.

Keeping ourselves busy on an otherwise boring day.

Sliding down the big blue slide with big brother.

PineCove Base Camp.
One week.
6 hours a day.
Nothing but silly, goofy fun.

Biker Girl.

Sibling snuggle time while watching "Pat Pat Pat."
(Little Einstein's)
Quite possibly the best 30 minutes of our summer, right here.

Emily's  "chore" = feeding Petty the fish.
For some reason, every evening,
she equates fish feeding time with Emily banana eating time.

Learning about fish with our favorite girls.

Spending time feeding ducks at the lake.
Unfortunately, the ducks were too hot to come out and play.
Those ducks are much smarter than us.

Enjoying our sneak peak at the new Children's Garden.
An amazing new place for us to enjoy.

Falling asleep 3.5 minutes after leaving the pool parking lot.

 Burnt orange fun!

A breakfast for dinner date night with my favorite little man
after 1st grade meet the teacher.

The sweet picture Josh drew me so I wouldn't forget
them while I was away for a weekend.
As if that could EVER happen!

Josh is a wonder. He's sensitive, caring and loves Emily to bits. What a great job, you, Alison , and Chris, are doing raising two wonderful children....very, very proud of you both
