We have been up to all kinds of projects and happenings around here the past few weeks. But, mostly, we are playing the waiting on Emily game. We are down to the final weeks and the preparations seem endless and never enough all at the same time.

We had major demolition taking place in our backyard a few weeks ago. We got a new retaining wall and fence. Boring and expensive, I know. Being an adult is SUPER awesome sometimes. However, the boring fence construction became the most exciting thing in the universe when they brought the John Deere bobcat into our backyard. The nice guys let Josh climb aboard to "help."

The Rattlers are back in action and have had a great season. Josh has made us so proud with his determination to chase after the ball and not give up. Here are all the boys giving Coach Travis their best Rattler Fangs at the end of the season game.

Way to go Rattlers!!!

Katie just finished her first soccer season and we were lucky enough to catch one of her games. This picture makes me laugh. They look so awkward, but what a perfect picture for the memory books.

New to the Brown family laundry basket... pink. And lots of it.

Funny, I didn't think I would be a "pink" girl mom, but it's really hard to ignore the sweetness of this color.

Poor Murphy.

Let's all say it, "Poor, mistreated, neglected Murphy."

Needless to say, she is sensing there are changes brewing on the home front and I don't think she is too happy about another tiny human entering "her" house.

Because traveling for me is out of the question around the holidays, my amazing mother-in-law hosted an equally amazing "Thanksristmasday weekend" (Thanksgiving/Christmas/Family Birthday) celebration. She decorated her entire house, put lights up outside, a trimmed tree inside, and a delicious meal with all the fixings to fill our bellies. We exchanged gifts with the family and as usual, Josh was spoiled senseless with Legos, remote control cars, games, you name it!

As you can see, he loves his Legos.

The ultimate surprise came when Granee and Pa took Josh outside and gave him his new John Deere motorized Gator, which he quickly nicknamed, "Gator the Gator." He is super speedy on this sucker, let me tell you. We found he is also quite skilled at maneuvering between large trees, rocks, and piles of dirt.

Next up, Thanksgiving Turkey Trot and my favorite activity of the year- decorating for Christmas!!

And, of course, the Emily waiting game continues...
