October Catch Up!

Emily spends most mornings asking us to take "Off Off Off" her clothes so she can run and jump onto the dog bed. The real fun is when she escapes my reach after the bath and she runs her wet and naked body straight onto the dog bed, resulting in bath #2 for the evening.

There have been lots and lots of hot days here, but we were able to sprinkle in a few
park days here and there.

Josh is playing fall baseball and Emily is his biggest fan.
She has the clap and scream down perfectly.

And she has no problem getting into the team spirit at Josh's soccer games.

Emily can't leave the house without her bag.

Too much flare?
We are a little proud of our little player.

Barn and Meme came in town for a few days and we had to keep them busy! How about a little archery practice in the front yard?
Emily's poor  baby doll was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Sweet girl cuddling on her giant stuffed elephant.

We were so sad to say good-bye to our amazing babysitter, Katie.
She moved to Hawaii and got married to her high school sweetheart.
We are so thankful for the love and care she gave both my kids for the past four years.

Random moment for the day~ Josh riding a camel.

Emily sure knows how to ham it up for the camera.

Just about 4 seconds after I took this sweet picture of Emily pointing out the ducks in the lake...
she tried to jump in.
Thankfully, I saved the child and iPhone.
That's skill, y'all.

Baby giggles.

We had the joy (pun intended) of hosting my friend, Joy, and her two adorable and kind children for a few days.  They pretty much lived our crazy life with us that week, and
hopefully, we can still call them friends.

Chris has been busy as a lawyer at work.
(Because lawyers HAVE to be busier than bees).
So, we have been doing some Facetiming. One day, Emily felt right at home with
the camera in front of her and propped her little feet up for Daddy to see.
Nice manners, princess.

Living with a two -year old.
Mascara Massacre.
EVERYDAY.
She tries everyday to get my mascara.
I win 70% of the time.
This is what happens the other 30%

Angel voice singing from his new hymnal.

Brother and sister watching the penguins swim at the zoo.

My sweet pumpkin at the pumpkin patch.

And... emerging from a dinosaur egg.

Having a fun day with the boys at our neighborhood Oktoberfest.

Josh got to do all sorts of fun things, like the rock wall climbing.

...and scoring big bucks in the money machine.

 $7 in 12 seconds.
Not bad.

Emily wasn't a fan of the bounce houses like Josh was at her age.
And by "not a fan," I mean she completely wigged out and clung onto me like a suction cup.
The same happened at the petting zoo.
You would think those poor bunnies were breathing fire on her.

One thing she is not afraid of?
Cupcakes.

More fall cuteness.

Scientific studies prove that early brain washing works!
Josh proudly displaying his horns while watching UT Band practice before Texas/OU weekend.

Longhorn squeeze.

Emily LOVES her bananas.
Real ones or plastic ones from the children's museum,
it doesn't matter, she will load up her basket.

Did someone say rain?
Thank goodness our church has an amazing indoor play area for days like this one!
Day 2 of non-stop rain and no school = need for escape!!!

Scoot over baby doll, that stroller is mine!
Emily has found a new seat for her ipad viewing pleasure.

When Barn and Meme were in town, we made a quick visit to the
Children's museum. Between rain storms, I was able to snap this picture.
We already miss them.
