Nine is Fine.

Nine months came and went rather quickly this month! With the start of school, our Labor Day beach trip, and all our activities starting, sweet Emily took her 9 month birthday in stride and went along for the crazy ride of our family schedule! Look at this happy girl. This is a very typical look for her. She is such a sweet and easy-going girl. I am beyond blessed to have her joyful spirit to hang out with all day.
Here are a few highlights from Emily's ninth month!

Emily is fully comfortable standing and cruising along furniture now. She really dislikes being confined in her exersaucer and just wants to be on the go chasing her brother or the dogs all over the house.

As a compromise and to keep Mommy from going insane before we have time to baby proof the house properly,  I was able to borrow this super cool baby walker so she can safely cruise around the house. So far, she only goes in reverse, but at least she is going places.

Her newest tricks include waving (like the queen, I might add) and saying her first and most wonderful word in the dictionary, "Mama!"

Big Sister, Maggie, is now officially a 3 year old and an expert baby sitter. She loves to help me with Emily whenever she has the chance.

I am learning that Emily is quite the independent woman. She refuses to let me hold her bottle, even when she is too tired to do it herself.

Since we spend most of our day on the go, sweet Emily has to catch her snoozes whereever she can! Here, she fell peacefully asleep in the middle of the soccer fields during practice.

She does love her bed though. We love catching those moments when she uses her crib bumpers as a pillow.
So cute.

Emily has discovered the joy of destroying Mommy's kitchen.
Oh goody!!!!

More trouble.

But, there are moments she will sit still.
They are brief, but glorious.

We were teased with one wonderfully fantastic cool and crisp fall day last week. I got a little excited and busted out Emily's fancy velour track suit. She was looking pretty cool and it was super cozy to snuggle with her.

Of course, it wasn't too long before the heat was back in full force. However, not too bad to play outside one afternoon. This was Emily's first introduction to grass.
Not a fan.

Emily and I started Kindersmusic with our neighbors Owen and Cayce! It is such a great time to focus on nothing but making Emily smile and have fun. That is not hard to do. It's a special time together for the two of us while big bro is in school.

Emily started Mother's Day Out and she is having a great time winning over the hearts of her new teachers. Here she is on her first day with her fancy bag that used to be my work bag and her new adorable lunch box from my old college buddy, Jennie!
She is all set for "school!"

I can't get over she is nine months already!!!
(Actually, she is now almost ten months since it took me 3 weeks to update the blog).

They grow up so fast.
